Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about membership, our collection, and club events.

Membership

You can join online through our membership page or by mailing a completed application with your dues. Individual memberships are $16 per year and household memberships are $20 per year.

Members receive our quarterly newsletter, access to the online collection database, discounts on club events and conventions, voting privileges at annual meetings, and the opportunity to connect with fellow Westmoreland glass enthusiasts across the country.

An individual membership ($16/year) covers one person. A household membership ($20/year) covers all members of the same household, making it an excellent value for couples and families who share a love of collecting.

Collection & Identification

Look for the Westmoreland mark, which typically features an intertwined "WG" logo. However, not all pieces were marked, especially earlier production. Our collection database and member community can help with identification. Members can submit photos for expert review.

Values vary widely depending on the pattern, color, condition, and rarity of the piece. Some common milk glass items may be modestly priced, while rare colored pieces, hand-decorated items, or complete sets can command significant prices. Our club members can help you understand the value of specific pieces.

Yes! Members are encouraged to contribute photographs and information about pieces in their collections. This helps build our comprehensive database and benefits the entire collecting community. Contact us to learn how to submit your pieces.

Events & Meetings

Our annual convention is typically held in the summer months. Check our Events page for the latest dates and registration information. The convention features auctions, educational presentations, and opportunities to buy, sell, and trade glass.

Some events are open to the public, while others are exclusive to members. Members always receive discounted pricing on ticketed events. We encourage non-members to attend open events and discover firsthand the camaraderie of our collecting community.

We welcome volunteers for convention planning, newsletter contributions, collection cataloging, and outreach. Reach out through our Contact page to express your interest, and we will connect you with the right team.
