The Town Crier
Spring Issue · Sample Content
From the President's Desk
Welcome to this Spring issue of The Town Crier. As we head into another season of glass collecting, we're seeing strong interest in Westmoreland's milk glass and slag patterns. The recent estate auctions in Pennsylvania have surfaced several rare pieces, and we'll cover those finds inside this issue.
Featured Pattern: English Hobnail
This issue's featured pattern is the iconic English Hobnail line, produced by Westmoreland from approximately 1928 through the 1960s. We dive into the color variations, the difference between original and reissued pieces, and a brief history of the pattern's market trajectory.
Member Spotlight
This Spring, we spotlight a longtime member who has built a remarkable Westmoreland milk glass collection over the past 35 years. Read about how they got started, what they look for, and the one piece they're still hoping to find.
